We are so excited to introduce you all to Tilly, our lovely Apprentice Chef!
We took the time to ask Tilly a few questions so you can get to know her and her role at The Staveley Arms a bit better.
Tilly is currently doing a Commis Chef Apprenticeship with us which takes around 12 months to complete. Once she has completed the course Tilly will gain an industry recognised qualification.
Tilly started out as a waitress before getting the job as Apprentice Chef and has been with us for 7 months now. Through the support of everyone around her, Tilly has already gained a great amount of knowledge and progressed massively during her time here so far.
To start her off, we provided Tilly with the full funding for the apprenticeship, the correct uniform, some safety footwear and a full set of student knives.
We asked Tilly what made her apply, she said: “It was a great opportunity that I was offered.”
During her time here, Tilly has had the chance to learn lots of new skills including: “Cooking, communication and teamwork skills.”
A typical day at The Staveley Arms for Tilly starts off with deliveries then moves on to preparation, service and clean down.
When we asked her what her favourite thing about working here is, she said: “the really enjoyable working environment.”
We are really lucky to have Tilly as part of our team and we can’t wait to watch her continue to progress!
